UN Questions US On Detainee Abuse

The UN will question U.S. officials on potential detainee abuse, the AP reports. The U.N. Committee Against Torture will focus on allegations of secret CIA prisons and flights transferring suspects for possible torture in other countries, according to the AP. Because the U.S. is a signatory the the Convention Against Torture, it must report on its practices to the Committee.
