The Twelve Tribes of American Politics has a breakdown of how people voted by religious beliefs in 2004, based on a survey done by Beliefnet. The blogger seems to take some solace in the finding that a growing number of religious liberals (12.6%) is “only” half the combined religious Right (12.6%) and “cultural warrior”(11.4%) category, that approximately 24% of the Republican vote comes from this very reliable block of motivated voters. It would certainly be news to the media that a sizable portion of Americans are spiritual to some degree and far more moderate to liberal then the religious right/culture warriors would have us believe. Add a bit of irony as 5% of Bush’s total vote came from secularists. That percentage might well have made the difference between Bush winning or losing thus the Right owes the secularists some degree of gratitude.
Google Offers to Help Yahoo Fight Off Microsoft. This is enough to make one start praying. Microsoft will give Yahoo the Microsoft treatment, a cure for which they will probably become crippled for life. Microsoft’s shareholders should be a little upset since Microsoft even with all it’s resources has not been able to steal away search and ad revenue business from Google or Yahoo.
The New York Times newest conservative intellectual(pardon the oxymoron) is on a roll, Bill Kristol: White women are a problem
BILL KRISTOL: Look the only people for Hillary Clinton are the Democratic establishment and white women… it would be crazy for the Democratic party to follow the establishment that’s led them to defeat year after year… White Women are a problem – but, you know… we all live with that…
I don’t know if Kristol is the biggest fake concern troll on the planet, but he has got to be in the running.
